Western Desert Oases tour: After breakfast, drive to the Fayoum Oasis, one of Egypt’s oldest continuously inhabited regions.
En route, you pass farmland, palm groves and small villages.
The highlight is the visit to Wadi El Hitan, the UNESCO-listed “Valley of the Whales,” renowned for its prehistoric marine fossils.
Soft dunes and serene desert landscapes offer excellent photo opportunities.

Continue through the Western Desert to the Bahareya Oasis.
After a longer driving stretch, you reach a lush depression surrounded by dark volcanic hills and palm groves.
Visit Bawiti, the main town, and – depending on timing – the Golden Mummies or the Temple of Alexander the Great.

Today’s journey takes you through the dramatic landscapes of the Black Desert and the White Desert, famous for their surreal chalk formations.
The striking Crystal Mountain is another highlight along the way.

Drive through open desert terrain to the remote Dakhla Oasis, known for its green gardens, natural springs and traditional mud-brick architecture.
In the afternoon, stroll through the historic village of Al Qasr, with its preserved Mamluk mosque and narrow alleyways.
Continue to the Roman sandstone temple Deir el-Hagar, noted for its fine reliefs and reconstructed zodiac ceiling.

Proceed to Kharga, the largest of the Western Oases.
Visit the well-preserved Hibis Temple from the Persian period and the impressive Bagawat Necropolis, home to some of the earliest Christian chapels in Egypt.

Drive along the desert highway to Luxor, the renowned “City of Palaces.”
The afternoon is free to relax or explore the riverside Corniche.
