“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are through the desert.” — Unknown
WT-CODE 39627
Deep in Egypt’s Western Desert lies one of the least-traveled regions of the country: the Abu Mohareq dune system. This expedition is not about ticking off sights – it is about moving through a vast, shifting landscape where time slows down and distances are felt, not measured.
Over twelve days, the journey follows remote desert routes between Bahariya, Kharga and Dakhla, crossing fossil fields, prehistoric sites and immense dune corridors. Nights are spent under open skies in changing camp locations – far from roads, settlements or signal.
This is an off-grid experience for travelers who are comfortable with simplicity and drawn to silence, scale and space.
Please note that due to possible significant increases in local costs in Egypt (more than 10%), the tour price may be subject to adjustment.
