Firstly, upon your arrival, we will pick you up from Cairo Airport and bring you to your hotel, a cozy place to begin your Egyptian adventure. Today, explore the last remaining wonder of the ancient world; the Pyramids of Giza have stood for nearly 4,000 years. The Great Sphinx of Giza, a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx with the head of a human and the body of a lion, faces directly from West to East on the Giza Plateau. Your guide will answer your questions and take you on a detailed tour of the site. Late, in the evening, take a short walk through the streets of Cairo to experience the vibrancy of this city firsthand. Overnight at Pearl Hotel, Maadi, or similar. (B)
Spend the day at leisure and take a night train to Aswan. Whether you want to sit in a café and watch the hustle and bustle or book an additional day tour, we are happy to help. In the evening, head straightaway to the station for your night train to Aswan. You will have your own compartment with a sink and beds, with a private waiter to pamper you before you comfortably let the wheels roll and wake up in Aswan. Overnight on the sleeper train. (B/D)

Today's visit includes the Aswan High Dam and the Temple of Philae.
