Each day, hike on foot with 4x4 support as needed. Our guide will share insights on local flora, fauna, and history, while our crew prepares three meals daily.

Hiking Red Sea Program

Day 1: Arrival

Firstly you will be picked up at the airport. Afterwards we bring you to your hotel.  Check-in  at the hotel.

Day 2: Begin Your Adventure

Pickup at 7 am from your hotel. Travel to the National Park entrance. After a 6 km jeep ride, reach Bayt El Ababda. This info-center preserves Bedouin heritage. The Ababda bedouins, particularly known for their traditional roles, still live in Wadi El Gemal.

Then you can start hiking immediately or continue another 2 km in the jeep. The park features diverse ecosystems, including acacia and desert date trees. After the hike, meet at Khab al Khawara. A photo stop at Abu El Dabba follows. Finally, relax at the campsite.

Day 3: Exploration Hike

After breakfast, embark on a 16 km crescent-shaped hike. Discover surprisingly hidden tracks and ancient quarry routes. Thereafter reach the Roman ruins of Abu Kabu. Overnight stay follows the hike.

Day 4: Hike to Seket

Hike 5 km to Seket, home to two ancient temples. Seket provided emeralds for the Roman Empire. Hike between Seket and Nougros, crossing a mountain. Enjoy furthermore panoramic views. Afterwards, 4x4 cars will transport you to the campsite.

Day 5: Hiking Red Sea - Explore Ancient Ruins

A 5 km hike will lead you to the Ancient Roman Ghost City. Explore further ruins and learn about Roman mining life. Spend the night close to nature.

Day 6: Canyon and Waterfall

Follow straightaway the “Blue Bird” to Satout’s canyon and waterfall. Stop at the Roman ruins of Appollonia. Hike through the canyon to the waterfall base before a lake awaits at the bottom. Additionally wildlife may be seen seeking water.

Day 7: Big Foot Trail

Above all climb Mount Hamata, the second-highest mountain in the Eastern Desert. Reach finally a viewpoint for views of the Red Sea. The hike is suitable for those with normal fitness. Enjoy lunch prepared by staff and local coffee. The day ends with a final outdoor experience.

Day 8: Departure Hiking Red Sea

After one night at the hotel, choose between airport transfer or an extension for beach and hotel relaxation. As the proverb says, "If we were meant to stay in one place, we would have roots instead of feet."

Booking:

  1. To secure your reservation please make a booking through our website or contact our customer service team directly.
  2. A confirmed booking requires full payment in advance, which can be made by bank transfer.
  3. Once your booking is confirmed and payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email containing all relevant details of the tour.

Cancellation:

  1. Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled tour date are eligible for a full refund.
  2. If you cancel 7 days and 48 hours before the scheduled tour date you will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
  3. Less than 48 hours before the scheduled tour date, as well as no-shows, are non-refundable.
  4. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or force majeure, such as extreme weather conditions or government-imposed travel restrictions, we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In such cases, a full refund will be provided to the customer.
  5. Any changes or cancellations to your booking must be communicated to us in writing via email or phone call.
