Day 1: Cairo Airport - Hotel

After your arrival at the airport, we will take you to your hotel and welcome you with a welcome drink and initial information. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a stroll through the streets of Maadi with its many shops and restaurants.

Overnight in Pearl Hotel or similar.

Day 2: Cairo

You wake up in a rather quiet part of the city, but today you have the opportunity to experience the special vibes of the city up close (not as a self-drive this time!). Visit the Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum to get a first glimpse of the country's thousands of years of history.

We would be happy to organize other sightseeing wishes for you (Pyramids of Dashhour, Khan al Khalili with Shera Moez, Citadel, etc.). Just talk to us!

In the evening the cars will be picked up with a thorough briefing. We believe that cars can truly be best friends if you treat them appropriately. Get in touch with your best friend for this trip.

Day 3: Cairo - Quseir

After breakfast we set off – we leave Cairo heading south. A driver with a Dabuka Car drives ahead, you follow and slowly get familiar with driving. Once you get past Cairo's hectic traffic, it's much easier to drive through different landscapes.

The route initially leads a little through the mountains (but without hairpin bends!) and at the same time along the sea. There are certainly plenty of photo opportunities, especially for the passengers.

Smaller breaks along the way allow us to stretch our feet - we don't have to hurry.

Towards the late afternoon we reach the town of El Quoseir, picturesquely located on the Red Sea and already conveying a lot of “holiday feeling”. This place has been inhabited for 5,000 years and has now developed into a holiday resort “beside the mainstream”.

It's fun to let the sea wind blow around your nose after a long day of sailing, take a walk through the old town and have a delicious dinner. Everyday life is already far away!

Overnight Quseir House or similar. (B)

Day 4: Quseir - Hamata

After breakfast it’s “On the road again” and there’s still a lot to see.

Our destination today is Hamata, a place “at the end of nowhere” (behind Marsa Alam) and simply beautiful.

But today the journey is again the destination, i.e. you always have a beautiful view of the sea as you drive a lot along the coast. You will also pass the world-famous Quolan Beach, whose turquoise-clear water seems almost unreal.

Egypt is also space and peace!

Finally you reach your home for the next few days: Wadi Lahmy Azur Resort. This hotel complex is much more than just that. A perfect mix of comfort, good food, wonderful beach and friendly staff will make you feel at home.Play bocce on the beach, smoke a shisha or drink a Gabbana (local coffee) in the bar, enjoy the sunset over the sea and eat as much as you can (all inclusive).

Day 5: Wadi Lahmy Azur Resort

Today you have time to “just live” and take advantage of all the opportunities this place offers.

Recover from your first driving adventures, go swimming or snorkeling. There is an optional shuttle to the nearby kite surfing spot if you feel like it.

Day 6: Wadi Lahmy Azur Resort - Shalatin - Wadi Lahmy

Your best friend is waiting for you again, he has also rested.

We drive towards the Sudanese border to the town of Shalatin, which is particularly famous for its camel market.

Even though the time of the large camel caravans is over, the “desert ships” are still a landmark of the area and can be used in a variety of ways.

Has a camel ever smiled at you? Try it!

Spice lovers will also get their money's worth and will find a variety of colors, smells and tastes.Have lunch on the balcony of a restaurant, where you can follow the hustle and bustle of the street from above.

On the way back we take our first outdoor detour into a valley that we ourselves named “Obelixhausen”. You will see that the menhirs are everywher and design the landscape.

Here it is worth leaving the car and walking a few steps.

Finally, you head back to the hotel, where you might want to take a quick dip in one of the pools or simply enjoy the evening buffet.

Day 7: Wadi Lahmy - Wadi Gemal N.P. - Wadi Lahmy

Today we leave early because a special day awaits us:

We head to Wadi Gemal National Park, an outdoor adventure in the Eastern Desert.

Our local Bedouin guide (here the locals are called Ababda) will take the lead as we now leave the asphalt and head straight into nature.

The special sites we visit are the former emerald mines and the Roman ruins of Seket and Nogros.

A picnic under acacia trees tastes particularly good; if you're lucky, you can also see smaller animals (it's not dangerous!).We probably have to make our way back far too quickly to spend one last night at the Azur Resort.

Day 8: Wadi Lahmy - Marsa Alam - Aswan

It's time to say goodbye to Wadi Lahmy and move on.

Within half a day we first drive through the mountains and then reach the Nile Valley and thus Aswan.

Once again we landed in a completely new environment, characterized by new groups of people, landscapes and sights.

Here Egypt's lifeline - the Nile - determines the events.

We check in on Heissa Island, a small island just off Aswan and only accessible by boat. Our cars are waiting well guarded in Aswan.

Heissa Island means – Nubian culture. Bright colors, special food, its own traditions – Nubia has a lot to offer. And maybe you'll be lucky and a singer will sing you a song from boat to boat as you arrive on Lake Nasser.

Overnight Nopera Lodge or similar. (B/D)

Day 9: Aswan

Let's take time to visit some of Aswan's main attractions:

The Philae Temple and the Nubian Museum.

Optional: A felucca ride to Kitchener Island.

On Heissa Island you can also go for a walk and have a coffee in the “Bob Marley” Cafe on the hill, or take a boat to a small swimming island.

Overnight Nopera Lodge or similar. (B/D)

Day 10: Aswan - Luxor

A new day - a new happiness - we continue through the green Nile landscape, where you can witness the daily farming operations all the way to Luxor.

This historical site also invites you to linger for a moment.

Overnight Nile House or similar. (B/D)

Day 11: Luxor

We visit the Valley of the Kings.

Optional: For early birds: A hot air balloon ride.

The evening sound and light show is also worth having as an optional treat.

Day 12: Luxor - Minya

We have passed the zenith - and still have highlights ahead of us.

Today our journey takes us from Luxor to Minya, a city in central Egypt that is primarily known for its archaeological sites.

After arrival we visit the temples of Abydos and Dendera.

Overnight Minya Hotel or similar. (B/D)

Day 13: Minya - Cairo

After breakfast we first drive to the pharaohs' tombs of Beni Hassan, before our route inevitably leads back to Cairo.

Let's enjoy the journey along the green Nile again, which offers many picturesque everyday situations.

The circle closes when we check in again at the Pearl Hotel.

Dabuka invites everyone to a farewell dinner at a nearby restaurant. Let's review the tour together again. Even our best friends must be returned. They will wait here, as friends do.
