Size: 945,087 square kilometers.
Climate: Along the coast and in the off shore islands of Tanzania, the average temperature ranges between 27°C and 29°C,
while in the central, northern and western parts temperatures range between 20°C and 30°C. Temperatures are higher between December and March, and coolest between June and July.
Capital: Dodoma, approx. 2.6 million inhabitants (2022)
Population: approx. 65,4 million (2022)
National language: Official language is Swahili; English
Religion: Christianity is the most widely professed religion in Tanzania, with a substantial Muslim minority.

Size:1,554 square kilometers.
Climate: Typically insular, tropical, and humid, with an average annual rainfall of 60 to 80 inches (1,500 to 2,000 mm). Rainfall is reliable and well-distributed in comparison with most of eastern Africa. Northeast trade winds blow from December to March and southeast trade winds from May to October. The “long rains” occur between March and May and the “short rains” between October and December.

Population: approx. 1,889 million (2022)
National language: Official language is Swahili; Arabic; English
Religion: Zanzibar’s population is almost entirely Muslim, with a small Christian minority of around 22 000. Other religious groups include Hindus, Jains and Sikhs
