Socotra Grand Tour: Explore Unique Flora and Untouched Landscapes
Arrival in Socotra - Ayhaft National Park - Delisha Sandy Beach - Day 1
Firstly upon arrival at Socotra Airport, we will transfer you to an eco-lodge near Hadibo, the island's capital. After refreshing, we'll embark on a trip to Ayhaft Canyon National Park, you may know for its fresh pools, tamarind trees, and diverse birdlife. Dinner and Overnight Camping at Ayhaft.
Haggier Mountain Trek, Dagub Cave, Ameq Beach - Day 2 - 7 (Trek)
Commence our 6-day trek at the base of the Haggier mountain range, experiencing its sharp peaks, lush greenery, and traditional Socotri villages. Because we are trekking by foot and camel, we'll explore various locations in detail, including Kishan, Adoho Dema'alah, Skand, Wadi Da'aharoh, Firmhin Forest, Derhur Canyon, and Agliso Plateau. In brief the trek culminates at Ameq Beach, offering clear waters and magnificent sand dunes.
Difarhu Canyon - Arher Freshwater Creek and Beach - Day 8
Travel from the south to the north, passing through Difarhu Canyon and traditional villages. Finally arrive at Arher, where a freshwater creek meets the sea, providing opportunities for relaxation or paragliding. Dinner and overnight at Arher.
Dihamri Marine Protected Area - Day 9
Visit Dihamri Marine Protected Area renowned for its rich coral reefs and marine life. In addition, enjoy beach activities and snorkeling in Dihamri Bay or diving with the Dihamri Diving Center.
Hoq Cave - Rosh Marine Protected Area - Day 10
Explore particularly Hoq Cave's ancient writings and formations before heading to Rosh Marine Protected Area for camping.
Homhil Terrestrial Protected Area - Day 11
Trek through Homhil's stunning landscapes, while encountering dragon blood trees and breathtaking viewpoints. Camp overnight amidst the natural beauty.
Qalansia - Detwah Lagoon - Day 12
Visit Qalansia, a charming fisherman's town until you explore Detwah Lagoon's magical landscape. Later enjoy swimming and birdwatching in the turquoise waters.
Golden Beach of Shuab - Day 13
Embark on a boat trip to Shu'ab, encountering spinner dolphins along the way. Afterwards, relax on the pristine beach and enjoy water activities before returning to Qalansyia.
Souvenir Shop - Adeeb Nursery - Delisha Sandy Beach - Day 14
Visit a souvenir shop and Adeeb Nursery to explore endemic plants. Lastly, spend the afternoon at Delisha Beach, swimming and enjoying the scenic sand dunes.
Departure from Socotra - Day 15
Finally, after breakfast, transfer to Socotra Airport for your departure flight.
Booking and Cancellation Policy - Socotra Grand Tour
- Reservation Process:
- To reserve your spot on the Socotra Grand Tour, please complete the booking form provided by the tour operator.
- We require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- Payment Terms:
- Full payment of the tour fee is due 45 days prior to the tour departure date.
- You can make your payment via bank transfer or online payment methods accepted by the tour operator.
- Cancellation by Participant:
- If you need to cancel your booking, please notify the tour operator in writing as soon as possible.
- Cancellation charges apply as follows:
- 60 days or more prior to departure: Loss of deposit
- Less than 30 days prior to departure: No refund
- If you don't use some services or portions of the tour once it has commenced, no refunds will be provided.
- Cancellation by Tour Operator:
- In the unlikely event that the tour operator cancels the tour due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient participation, participants will receive a full refund of all payments made to the tour operator.
- The tour operator shall not be liable for any additional expenses incurred by participants as a result of the tour cancellation.
- Travel Insurance:
- Participants are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, including trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and loss of personal belongings.
Changes to Itinerary:
- The tour operator reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary, accommodation, or activities due to unforeseen circumstances or events beyond their control.
- Participants will be notified of any significant changes to the itinerary as soon as possible.
- Health and Safety:
- Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are in good health and physically fit to participate in the tour activities.
- The tour operator reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual deemed unfit or unable to safely partake in the tour activities.
- Force Majeure:
- The tour operator shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations under the booking and cancellation policy if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, or civil unrest.
