New Year on Lake Nasser

Day 1 – Sunday, December 29, 2024: Arrival in Aswan and Transfer to Heissa Island

Upon your arrival at Aswan Airport, firstly, you’ll be greeted and transferred to the beautiful Heissa Island. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a peaceful walk around this special Nubian location. Settle in and take in the serenity before the adventure begins. Overnight stay at Miskaa House.

Day 2 – Monday, December 30, 2024: Embarkation and Kalabsha Temple

After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll transfer by boat and car to the Dabuka Blue docking station. Once aboard, set sail toward Kalabsha Temple for your first exploration. Prepare for breathtaking views as the day closes with a spectacular sunset—an experience guaranteed every evening on this journey. Overnight stay on the boat.

Day 3 – Tuesday, December 31, 2024: Sailing and Temple Visits – New Year’s Eve Celebration

Start the day by casting off and continuing your journey across the tranquil waters of Lake Nasser. You’ll visit several incredible temples, including Wadi Seboua, Dakka, El Maharraqa, and Seboua, each with its own unique history and charm.
Back on board, indulge in 5-star cuisine, fresh juices, and afternoon tea as the crew ensures your every need is met. In between activities, take some time to relax, reflect, or simply enjoy the mesmerizing scenery.

As night falls, the New Year’s Eve celebration begins!

We have a special party planned to help you ring in the New Year in style. Celebrate under the stars and toast to new beginnings. Overnight stay on the boat.

Day 4 – Wednesday, January 1, 2025: A New Year, New Adventures

On the first day of the year, your voyage continues with visits to the temples of Amada and Pennout. It’s the perfect way to begin 2025—surrounded by history, beauty, and tranquility. Overnight stay on the boat.

Day 5 – Thursday, January 2, 2025: Kasr Ibrim and Abu Simbel

After breakfast, follow the path to the ruins of Kasr Ibrim, an awe-inspiring sight along the way. Later in the afternoon, you’ll reach the magnificent Abu Simbel. Thanks to our unique schedule, we’ll arrive when the site is nearly empty, so that you have the rare opportunity to explore in peace.

In the evening, you have the option to attend the Sound and Light Show at Abu Simbel, an unforgettable experience. This will be your final night on the boat.

Day 6 – Friday, January 3, 2025: Farewell to Dabuka Blue

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to the crew and the boat. We’re sure you’ll carry fond memories of the experience for a long time. A car will then take you back to Aswan or Heissa Island, a journey of about 3–4 hours.

Once you arrive, you’ll check in again at Miskaa House. The rest of the day is yours to unwind—perhaps take a walk, enjoy a drink at the Bob Marley Café, or reflect quietly on your memorable journey. Overnight stay at Miskaa House.

Day 7 – Saturday, January 4, 2025: Explore Aswan

The day begins with a half-day excursion to explore the wonders of Aswan, including visits to the stunning Philae Temple and the impressive Unfinished Obelisk. Afterward, enjoy free time to shop or explore at your own pace. Overnight stay at Miskaa House.

Day 8 – Sunday, January 5, 2025: Departure or Trip Extension

After a final breakfast, it’s time for your transfer to Aswan Airport for departure. If you wish, you can extend your trip to explore more of the region. The choice is yours!


General Information:

  • Weather: Due to varying weather conditions, slight changes to the program may occur.
  • Connectivity: Internet access is intermittent, but the crew will keep you informed. A satellite phone is available for emergencies.
  • Eco-friendly Operations: Dabuka Blue relies primarily on solar power. Therefore, the air conditioning, ice maker, and coffee machine will only operate during certain hours.
  • Comfort: We highly recommend comfortable walking shoes for excursions off the boat.
  • Accommodation: In each cabin you find all the amenities of a hotel room.
  • Group Size: The boat has a maximum capacity of 10 people (5 cabins with 2 guests each).
  • Guidance: A knowledgeable tour guide will accompany you throughout the journey.

  • 3 overnight stays on Heissa Island, including transfer to and from the island (B)
