White Desert Egypt – we explore the Wonders of Egypt

We invite you to immerse yourself in the fascinating White Desert Egypt. Accordingly, you experience the breathtaking landscape with its quirky rock formations that appear like a sculpture park from another world.

Furthermore your imagination will lead you to a lot of pictures. Certainly you would like to delve into the secrets of this unique landscape and to discover the wonders of White Desert Egypt. It is located in the western part of the country.

As can be seen, this place, full of mystique, features rocks emerging from the sand and you may assume shapes of camels, tents, and mushrooms. This landscape appears as if from another planet.  Sandstorms and wind  shaped it over millions of years.

When the pharaohs once exiled outcasts to these inhospitable areas, they stationed also guards against hostile nomadic groups. In recent times, more people visit voluntarily the White Desert Egypt to marvel at nature. Since 2002, the landscape is a protected  national park.

Without a doubt, your visit here will always be one of the highlights of a trip to Egypt, and certainly we make it truly special for you!

Day 1: Cairo - Bahariya - Black Desert - White Desert Egypt National Park

To begin with our trip, we will pick you up from your hotel or private address. Then we drive about 3 hours to the Bahariya Oasis, where we will first have lunch upon arrival. The oasis is located in a depression measuring 100 km by 40 km and is completely surrounded by high black rock walls. Bahariya is a natural treasure of Egypt and in particular worth a visit.

The valley floor is covered with lush groves of date palms, olives, ancient springs, and wells. We may have time to explore the oasis on the third day. Now we continue south with a stopover in the Black Desert before reaching the White Desert Egypt. Millions of years ago ,in fact,  the desert was a seabed. When the ocean receded and a plateau collapsed, layers of sedimentary rock appeared.  Hence, some rock formations resisted the changes over time and gave the White Desert Egypt  its characteristic features and charm.

On the whole, it's always exciting to let your imagination run wild and discover rabbits, ducks, and human heads in the limestone formations. We will look for a beautiful and quiet camping site in the national park. We stay overnight in the White Desert National Park. (D/L)

Day 2: White Desert National Park

There is so much to see here -  you may capture memories with your camera and eyes. In addition to protecting the unique white sands and rock formations of the Sahara, the park also protects a variety of wildlife. Some of the more popular species are Barbary macaques, fennec foxes, Dorcas gazelles, jackals, red foxes, Roman gazelles, not to mention Rüppell's foxes, and desert sand cats.

See above for an overnight stay under the stars at a campsite in the White Desert Egypt. You might meet a fennec near your campfire looking for food scraps. The schedule of the day may vary depending on the season, weather, and also the interests of the travelers. If you have special requests, please let us know or let us surprise you with what our guide presents next.

Finally, in the late afternoon, we will set up our second camp at a selected location away from most other groups. Privacy is ensured. Overnight in the White Desert National Park. (B/L/D)

Day 3: White Desert National Park - Crystal Mountain - Bahariya – Cairo

After breakfast, we will cross various areas of this spectacular site again before we reach the asphalt road that leads us back to Bahariya Oasis. Before we reach the oasis, we will make another stop at Crystal Mountain. We will have a quick cold lunch in the oasis, and we can spontaneously decide whether to enjoy the special experience of bathing in a hot spring. Then we begin our return journey to Cairo.
